Sparks are set to fly this weekend as London celebrates bonfire night with a bang.

While putting on Guy Fawkes festivities at home is a fun idea, London Fire Brigade (LFB) is urging residents to keep fireworks to the professionals this year and to head to organised displays instead.

This comes after LFB was called to a shocking 500 incidents in just 24 hours last November 5, making its busiest Bonfire Night in six years.

An LFB spokesman said: "Our advice on bonfire night is always to attend organised firework displays.

"It's always much safer to attend an organised firework display."
