Kieslowski classic

HAMMERSMITH: In 1989, Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski created the critically acclaimed 10-part series The Decalogue, with each of the 10 hour-long episodes representing one of the ten commandments.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the director’s birth and the 15th anniversary of his death, Riverside Studios will hold an exhibition of posters on the seminal series featuring artists from around the world.

It will run from Thursday, March 1 to Wednesday, March 14.

Entrance is free.

Costume dramas

KENSINGTON: The Victoria and Albert Museum is offering young people the chance to create a range of costumes under the watchful eye of a professional designer.

Teenagers aged 16 to 19 will be able to create a range of designs for a live music concert, dance show or stage performance from 11am to 4pm on Satuday, February 25.

They will be given a crash course on how to capture ideas on paper for a collection of stage outfits.

Wonderland rocks

HAMMERSMITH: Alice in Wonderland has been given a rock makeover in a new musical at the Lyric theatre next month.

In the throes of adolescence, determined Alice Parsley convinces her ailing friend Alfred to follow her one last time down the rabbit hole.

Lewis Carroll’s wonderful world is being brought to life by the Lyric Young Company as part of the National Theatre Connections festival.

The show will run from Thursday, March 8 to Saturday, March 10.
