Stagecoach Theatre Arts Uxbridge brought the house down at the Winston Churchill Theatre this weekend as it sold out tickets to its 2015 showcase.

The "musical spectacular" performance was held on Saturday (July 18) and Sunday (July 19) to more than 340 people each night. More than 200 local children, aged four to 18, were involved.

This is the first year the school has produced a showcase involving all of its students.

Rebecca Odedra, Stagecoach Uxbridge's principal, said: "It was absolutely amazing.

"All the performers were fantastic and I am immensely proud; there were so many comments on how professional and committed they were."

The performance was a musical spectacular, an evening full of energy, fun, song and dance to entertain the whole family.

A spectator of the show said: "Thank you for an amazing and emotional weekend.

"Two incredible shows and different as well! I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of sheer graft that went into producing work of such a high calibre.

"Everybody left the theatre with a smile on their face and a warm feeling in their heart."

Other spectators hailed the performance "sensational" and "worthy of top West End reviews".

The Sunday performance was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon, who came to congratulate the students backstage after the show.

Stagecoach Theatre Arts Uxbridge holds weekend classes at Oak Farm Primary School on Fridays and Saturdays. The school has been running in the Hillingdon for almost 20 years.
