With more than a million copies sold worldwide, The Hummingbird Bakery has relaunched its ultimate American baking book.

Starting the UK’s obsession with cupcakes when it was first published in 2009, this exciting new edition is both expanded with delicious new recipes and revised to incorporate new tricks, tips and techniques learned over the years.

It follows the opening of The Hummingbird Bakery in Guildford , which launched this summer to the delight of thousands of cake lovers.

As the first Hummingbird Bakery in Surrey , it joins the chain's famous shops including Tarek Malouf 's first bakery in Notting Hill's Portobello Road in 2004.

Baking novices can learn how to bake London’s most legendary Red Velvet Cupcakes or try something new with a luxurious Mile High Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake.

Eight new recipes have been added including a retro Chocolate Cola Cake, spiced apple Hot Cross Bun Cupcakes and mint chocolate Grasshopper Cake.

Published on October 5, the baking bible features recipes for spectacular cupcakes, brownies, muffins, layer cakes, cookies, cheesecakes and pies.
