With the new Star Wars film set to come out this Christmas, Force Friday (September 1) has quickly became fan's "only hope" as new collectibles, toys, books and clothes are released.

The shopping event , which runs until September 3, was first introduced in 2015 and was the name given to tie in with " Star Wars : The Force Awakens".

But with "The Last Jedi" trying to tear us over to the dark side, these new items may tide us over before we see our "dear friends" R2-D2 and C-3PO on our big screens once again.

So "if you find your friend's lack of faith disturbing" and you want the "force to be with you always" why not purchase some of these rare items to add to your collection, yes we know you have one.

Lego and Hasbro have revealed a host of new products for Star Wars fans to enjoy with Amazon launching the items at midnight.

Among the releases are a build your own droid kit, how we can beat the BB-8 from the last movie?, a levitating Star Wars Death Star speaker, a Lego Chewbacca and a stormtrooper collectible figure.

Not to forget, a Lego Millenium Falcon has also been launched with a few upgrades and tweaks, "Chewie, we are home".

Force Friday items are available on the Star Wars store on Amazon with 20,000 retailers also taking part including, John Lewis, Toys R Us and Smyths Toys.

There is also an app you can download to interact with some of the toys in augmented reality.

Once a product is scanned a new character "experience" be unlocked along with bonuses, according to Amazon.
