Aldi has launched a range of alcoholic ice lollies for the summer.

The flavours include gin and tonic or prosecco and peach bellini are are available at stores nationwide.

Sold in packs of four for £2.99, customers can choose between gin and tonic or prosecco and peach bellini.

Aldi described its latest gin offering as "G&T with a zingy lemon twist in the form of an ice pop."

Whilst the prosecco variety is described as: "A very popular summer cocktail which transforms perfectly into a frozen popsicle."

Tony Baines, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi UK, added: "Although sunshine may not be guaranteed, our alcoholic popsicles are sure to be a hit with adults across the UK, whatever the weather."

The new ice lollly range comes hot of the heels of Aldi's luxury hot tub - which with a £299.99 price tag - sold out within hours online.
