London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.

Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.

This week, getwestlondon's Emily Chudy caught up with folk/Americana band Little Boy Lost.

They are a three-piece band from London, that specialise in writing and performing "heart tugging lyrics, soul lifting melodies and beautiful close harmonies."

The band includes Alex Palmer on main vocals, Spencer Lovell on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Cochise Derrick on rhythm guitar and backing vocals.

Cochise Derrick said: "Our music acoustic folk/Americana. It's mostly ballads with close three-way harmonies.

"We have different influences. Our influences include The Goo Goo Dolls, Peter Bradley Adams, Oasis, Radiohead, Athlete, The Fray and John Mayer."

The band have already played live at many venues, including East Barnet Festival. Their debut album, entitled Silhouettes, can be listened to and downloaded on Spotify.

Derrick said: "Me and Alex actually met... at a pub in Hendon many years ago. We formed a band called Silverscene and played for a few years all around London. We stopped playing for a while when I moved away from London, and when I came back, we played a few open mic nights.

"It was at one of these nights in Barnet that we met Spencer just over a year ago. It really just clicked then, and has gone from strength to strength since."

Derrick said: "We don't really want to do the pub circuit anymore, because we have done it for a long time, and because our music is very laid back, so we have played some small festivals and coffee shops.

"We are now looking forward to playing bigger festivals next year and more of them. One day we will play Glastonbury."
