Famous soul DJ James Anthony is rocking Freddy's Bar in central Harrow at a new night called Soul Inspiration every fourth Saturday of the month.

The next party is on October 25 from 9pm until 2am at the venue in Station Road. If you pick up a flyer, the entrance fee will be just £5, otherwise it's £8.

Reza Najafi, manager at Freddy's Bar, says: "We are expecting it to become absolutely huge. For this busy event, both the bar area and restaurant section will be used as a dance floor and the different sections make for a fantastic atmosphere."

Soul Inspiration has a strictly over-25s policy and attracts a more mature crowd looking for really good music.

Guest star on the turntables at the end of the month is James Anthony, from Solar Radio, who began his DJing career in the early 70s.

During this time has worked for Horizon Radio, north London station ILR and Choice FM with big names such as Greg Edwards, Dixie Peach and Angie Greaves.

Shelley Twinn, from Twinn promotions, says simply: "He is nightclub history."

Along with DJ Ginger Tony, also from Solar Radio, James Anthony will be playing both classic and 'upfront' soul topped off with a mix of R'n'B, 70s, 80s and a little commercial music.

Instead of travelling into central London, Freddy's Bar offers a prestigious venue in Harrow with a very West End feel to the decor and atmosphere. It is also, apparently, one of the only places in Harrow that serves cocktails.

Aim to arrive before midnight to avoid disappointment and follow the dress code: casual smart.
