Acts including Marina & The Diamonds, Crystal Fighters, Sky Larkin, MPHO and The Whip are set to rock this month’s Levi’s Ones to Watch.

The Levi’s Ones To Watch music programme - which launched in 2004 as a series of monthly gigs at Barfly venues across the UK - has been a natural extension of Levi's long affiliation with music; showcasing the best in new talent and giving a unique opportunity for emerging artists to play to a discerning audience in the coolest venues.

Acts who have graced the Ones to Watch stage have included an astounding number of success stories, prompting a reputation for Levi’s Ones To Watch as both a channel for new talent, as well as a reliable gauge for the future music scene. Past acts include Editors, Kooks, The View, Foals, We Are Scientists and The Pigeon Detectives to name but a handful.
Now nearing the end of its fifth year, Levi’s Ones To Watch has firmly established its reputation as a reliable indicator for artists about to hit the big time. 2008 saw charged performances by Metronomy, Esser, Santigold, Late of The Pier, Friendly Fires, Fight Like Apes, and Cage The Elephant.

November’s five fight revue is the finale event of a busy Levi’s Ones To Watch 2009 tour which has featured a stellar roll call of entertainers on its stage putting on parties for thousands of grateful fans.

Levi’s Ones To Watch settles in at The Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and Cargo in London’s east end this month with a five night revue of the highest order. Celebrating the latest and greatest from a plethora of music genres, this week-long shindig promises to entertain, inspire and surprise.
Each night has been lovingly curated with artists who represent the best in new and emerging talent from a dynamic musical spectrum. The roll call includes an exclusive solo show from Andrew Davie of Cherbourg, a set from Basque-dance prodigies Crystal Fighters, and an anticipated performance from the much hyped Marina & The Diamonds. To close the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen shows, the Thursday evening will celebrate the best new female fronted acts; with a set from indie-darlings Sky Larkin, the genre-defying songwriter and producer MPHO and young singer-songwriter of the moment Beth Jeans Houghton.

While the Levi’s Ones To Watch closing party will conclude the revue at Cargo on Friday night with a more electronic focus; featuring an exclusive special guest slot from Mr Hudson and live sets from The Whip, Alex Metric, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Berlin / Londoners Ezra Bang & the Hot Machine. Free Tickets for this night are available from selected Levi’s Stores.
Levi's Ones to Watch events in March and April kicked off the year with Rogues, The Temper Trap and Heartbreak; as well as a special set from White Lies to celebrate the opening of a new flagship store on Carnaby Street. The tour headed to Brighton in May for The Great Escape Festival, and put on the must-see gig of the festival with a secret set by Babyshambles. Other bands that graced the Levi’s stage included Black Lips, The Soft Pack and Mika Miko.

The first five night revue in July featured Hockey, Passion Pit, Dananananaykroyd and many others before September and October residencies involved the likes of Kurran & The Wolfnotes, Exlovers, The Antlers and Example.
