Wembley Operatic Society are recreating the classic Christmas Carol story from Charles Dickens' 1843 novel.

The enchanting musical tells the tale of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge whose Christmases past, present and yet-to-come arrive to haunt him on Christmas Eve to teach him the error of his 'bah humbug' ways .

The Brent-based am-dram company's past hit productions include My Fair Lady, Crazy For You and Annie, and with such a high pedigree of musical production, the society say they are set to stage another musical success.

Under the direction of Richard Reece and musical direction of Graham Nicholls, the cast of 38 bring to life favourite charcters such as Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchitt and Tiny Tim in a show the whole family can enjoy.

The winter tale is running between Tuesday, November 4, and Saturday, November 8, at the Winston Churchill Theatre, Ruislip.

Theatregoers can catch Christmas Carol at 7.30pm on all nights or the 2.30pm matinée on Saturday.
