London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.

Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.

This week, getwestlondon's Emily Chudy caught up with pop-punk band TwoSixOnes.

TwoSixOnes describe themselves as the most exciting London band you've never heard of, mixing pop music with rock riffs and a great rhythm.

The band have been active for two years, with bassist Lizzie joining in March.

TwoSixOnes said: "Our music is fun, energetic pop played by a bunch of unashamed rock fans. We have massive riffs, even bigger harmonies and aim to get everyone smiling and dancing by the end of the song... On stage we run around like idiots and generally have an amazing time."

The band consists of Andre on vocals, Jimmy on drums, Lizzie on bass and Rich on guitar.

TwoSixOnes are currently touring, with live gigs taking them from London, to Maidenhead, and even to Saint Cyprien Festival in France!

They said: "Musically we all draw influence from slightly different genres. Andre is a pure pop man, loving stuff like Elton John and the Travelling Wilburys. Jimmy loves pretty much everything but goes crazy for straight up rock such as Foo Fighters, the Black Keys and Biffy Clyro. Lizzie and Rich are big metal fans, and can often be heard belting out Motley Crue, David Lee Roth and Extreme to anyone who will listen.

"But really we just like good music in whatever form it takes. For example, check out our cover of Pantera's Revolution Is My Name - a classic groove-metal track which we all saw as a pop song waiting to happen!"

A reviewer for Music Week said: "You can try not to dance to their harmony-laced floor-fillers, but the reality is that resistance is futile; you may as well start wiggling your hips before you press play."
