London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.

Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.

This week, getwestlondon's Emily Chudy caught up with alternative rock band Metasic.

Metasic are a London-based alternative rock/electronic band, who describe their sound as heavy and emotional, with a dance edge. The band have been officially performing together since November.

Josh Woo, lead singer of the band said: "I started off solo, with a changing rota of musicians for recording; I called in the band and we got on really well, we're like a band of brothers now. We're all working together... We'll definitely stick together!"

The band have a self-released EP and are looking to release more music in the near future. They are gaining a rapid fanbase, having just won an award through Tradiio.

Josh said: "I've been singing all my life, performing since I was five, and I started learning guitar when I was 14.

"Our influences include Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Faith No More. Quite alternative, and electronic as well, such as Wolf Alice."

The band comprise of Josh Woo on vocals, Alessandro Melchior on guitar and keyboard, Lucas Mendes on lead guitar, James Dibble on bass and Keir Adamson on drums.

A reviewer of the band said: "This is a band with a huge future. See them... while you can!"

Metasic have an EP available on iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp, and are working towards their next release, which they will be recording in Italy in July.
