London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.

Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.

This week, getwestlondon's Emily Chudy caught up with Hip Hop artist WeLzY (Ryan Wells).

WeLzY is from Great Yarmouth, and is new to the "underground" music industry; he has a handful of videos live on YouTube, including the powerful single Real, inspired by his young son.

Wells said: "My music style is New School/Hip Hop, but I am always up for trying new styles.

"I get a lot of my inspiration from my son and family, and I wouldn't say I have a favourite artist, but Raleigh Ritchie and Lukas Graham have inspired me recently."

The musician began his career as a DJ from a young age, before moving onto songwriting and creating music videos.

Wells said: "I started as a DJ when I was 12 years old, then started writing my own songs when I was 14... The rest is history.

"My track Real was inspired by my beautiful son and the support from my family. My fans really felt the song which was amazing, as I write with such passion, and pray that it effects others."

WeLzY's music career is in its early stages, but he is currently releasing new music, and aims to tour in the future.

Wells said: "I really want to get my mixtape finished, and for it to inspire a lot more young minds like mine. I would love to hit a record deal and travel round sharing my musical passion."
