London has arguably the best music scene around, with thousands of talented musicians emerging every day, most of which are unsigned acts waiting for their big break.
Unsigned Friday brings you the very best unsigned music artists from around the capital, as well as giving these acts a platform to promote their music.
This week, getwestlondon 's Emily Chudy caught up with funky, punky band Felix Hagan and the Family.
This seven-piece band are hard to tie down to one genre... Made of hairspray, Lycra and a load of rock 'n' roll, they're sure to entertain you no matter what!
Hugely energetic and theatrical, they've had a reputation in London since their conception in 2012 as being a wonderful live act to watch.
Felix said: “We fuse punk, rock, pop and musical theatre into a seamless, high-energy blend of genres, all held together by masterful musicianship and an outrageous desire to entertain.
“We spend our days filming ridiculous music videos, playing tons of gigs and generally having the best time ever.
“We’re putting the finishing touches to our new record, which will be out in the next couple of months.”
The band's debut album Dawn Breaks, The Monster Wakes… and their latest EP String Up The Entertainer are already available on iTunes and Bandcamp. They are now working on their upcoming EP Kiss The Misfits.
The band are playing numerous gigs this summer, as well as Oxford's Wilderness Festival.
As well as having a dedicated local fan-base, they are also loved by critics and established artists. Folk/punk legend Frank Turner said: "F**king great. My new favourite band."
Work In Prowess said: "They are the date you pencil in, the music you drink straight whiskey to, and the gig you lose your coat at."
Don't miss this lively band playing all summer!
