Rock legends Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been announced as British Summer Time headliners .
The group will perform at Hyde Park as part of their 40th anniversary tour on Sunday July 9.
The huge show will be the legendary rock group's only European tour date in 2017, and their second visit to the UK in 18 years.
They be joined by a full line-up of supporting acts which includes Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and American folk group The Lumineers.
Their 40th anniversary tour will also visit a number of arena and stadiums in North America kicking off in April next year.
This announcement joins a growing list of names headlining Hyde Park's British Summer Time which also includes the likes of Phil Collins, Kings of Leon and Green Day.
The group were at the forefront of the heartland rock movement in the late 70s alongside Bruce Springsteen and they were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday December 16.
