On Saturday March 5, ABBA fans will get a treat, as Waterloo: The Best of ABBA Tribute Show is coming to The Beck Theatre in Hayes .
Playing all of the classics from the Swedish band, including Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Chiquitita and Mamma Mia, this two-hour show replicates the thrill of a live ABBA show with a full band.
Michelle Cleave, who plays Agnetha, said: "It's a two-hour spectacular of ABBA music, so it's basically ABBA Gold and then a few extras. It's a two-hour party, it's a high-end production. We've got four of us playing ABBA - Benny, Björn, Anni-Frid and Agnetha - and then we've got a fully live band behind us and a big light show.
"My Dad used to sing, and when I was about 17 somebody got in touch with him and said 'would your daughter be interested in joining an ABBA show?' I actually played Anni-Frid, the dark haired one, for four years... But actually, I'm blond, and I always sounded more like the other singer.
"It's strange, there's kind of this 'ABBA circle' of tribute acts out there, and I started to get well known as an ABBA singer that sounded like Agnetha, so I started my own ABBA band, and it went from there...
"I've been doing this for about 14 years or more now, and a couple of the other people have been doing this for a long time. Waterloo is a new show, it's been going a year, but it's not new for us. It's now one of the bigger ones."
Ms Cleave said: "It's like a non-stop party; there are a lot of ABBA shows that don't go into the detail and care that we do to actually look exactly like them and sound exactly like them.
"Even if you're not an ABBA fan you'll enjoy it, but if you are an ABBA fan it's the only chance you'll get to see a fully live ABBA concert on show and almost imagine that you're watching ABBA for two hours.
"Everybody loves the music, and the band's really great. It's just a brilliant production!"
