Phil Collins has been announced to headline at the Barclaycard British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park.

On Friday June 30, Collins will be taking to the stage as part of his Not Dead Yet: Live tour in one of his first on stage appearances in nearly a decade.

Joining Collins and headlining the Barclaycard Stage is The New Power Generation , backing band to the late Prince, reunited for the first time in UK since the singer’s death in April 2016.

Best known for their work on 'Diamonds and Pearls' and 1992’s 'Love Symbol Album', the band will be performing songs spanning the length of Prince’s career.

KC and the Sunshine Band will also be taking to the stage alongside Collins .

The American group was founded in 1973, with a popular style rooted in disco and funk.

The band will perform best-known songs including the hits; That's the Way (I Like It), I'm Your Boogie Man, Get Down Tonight, and Give It Up .

Chaz & Dave are hosts of the Summer Stage and will perform three sets throughout the afternoon.

The final act to be joining Phil are “power pop rockers” Cats in Space, ready to transport fans back to the heady days of the 1970s through their catchy cosmic beats.

The five acts will also be joining Blondie , Mike + The Mechanics and Starsailor this summer.

Also headlining at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2017 is Green Day (1 July), Justin Bieber (2 July), Kings of Leon (6 July), The Killers (8 July) and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (9 July) . Full supporting line-ups are to be announced.
