Peter Hook & The Light have announced an exclusive show at the London Roundhouse .

The former Joy Division bassist will play with his band The Light on December 18.

The one-off show will see the artist and his group perform Joy Division's two records "Unknown Pleasures" and "Closer".

Joy Division's debut album was released in 1979 and although it never charted - nor were any singles released - it has since been named one of the best albums of all time by the likes of Q, NME and Rolling Stone.

The follow-up "Closer" achieved the same critical acclaim, with both records being considered as pioneers in the post-punk era.

Following the group's disbandment Hook formed New Order and remained in the successful band until 2007.

Hook has previously toured Joy Division and New Order compilation albums "Substance" which were performed in their entirety.

The night at the Roundhouse will be Peter Hook & The Light's biggest headline show to date and will also feature a support set of New Order material.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday March 24, they are priced at £36.40 and you can get them from Ticketweb here .
