This summer, London's famous music and entertainment venue, The O2 , is celebrating its 10th birthday with a range of special events .
As part of an exclusive competition, The O2 will let fans go where no fan has been before - offering backstage tours of the iconic arena.
Since opening in 2007, The O2 has become the home of unforgettable live experiences, hosting heroes across music, comedy, sport and more.
For the first time in its star-studded history, the North Greenwich destination will unbolt its backstage doors, which have seen some of the world’s greatest names grace its dressing rooms - from Beyoncé to Black Sabbath, Monty Python to Prince, Spice Girls to The Rolling Stones.
The exclusive backstage tours will form part of The O2’s summer birthday celebrations, that invites fans and families to The O2 to experience a range of free activities including:
- Virtual reality from O2 where fans can explore an O2 Academy venue as a star or a fan at a sold out show, go head to head against the England Rugby team or soar over The O2 and choose to explore some of the biggest moments at the world’s leading music and entertainment venue.
- Visit Summer of Sport at Sky Studios.
- Learn about the future of car technology at the Nissan Innovation.
- Visit Star Wars Identities Exhibition.
- Enjoy a urban mountaineering experience Up at The O2.
The O2 will also be offering a host of discount offers at several of the restaurants and bars.
What will you see?
The journey will unlock access to areas such as the American Express Invites Lounge and green rooms, dressing rooms and even the infamous FAB room and arena bowl, just to name a few.
In addition, the tour will also offer an array of photo opportunities for fans, including the infamous world first, backstage Twitter Mirror – which has become renowned for artists sharing selfies with the crowd before taking the stage.
