Mac DeMarco is heading to the UK for a total of four live shows.

He will play two headline sets at the Brixton Academy on May 30 and 31.

The first show originally sold out in just three hours - but more tickets have now been released.

The world tour will be in support of his upcoming release "This Old Dog", his third studio album which is set to be released on May 5.

He recently unveiled the video for the album's title track, shot by Mac himself.

His latest record was shaped by his move from New York to LA which gave him a new perspective during the creation of it.

As Mac says: "Usually I just write, record, and put it out - no problem. But this time, I wrote them and they sat. When that happens, you really get to know the songs. It was a different vibe."

He has also played with new genres on the record, using an acoustic and electric guitar as well as a synthesiser for the first time giving the sound an unplugged feel.

Mac says: "This is my acoustic album, but it’s not really an acoustic album at all. That’s just what it feels like, mostly. I’m Italian, so I guess this is an Italian rock record."

The singer songwriter will also perform gigs in Edinburgh and Newcastle in 2017 as well sets at Coachella and the UK's End of the Road Festival.

There are currently still tickets available for his Brixton Academy show on May 30 as well as his Newcastle Academy show on August 29.

You can get them from Ticketweb here .

They are priced at £27.28 for the London shows and £20.81 for Newcastle.
