UK hip hop artist Loyle Carner has announced a one-off show at the O2 Academy Brixton.

The rapper will play at the venue on Friday October 6 - the same date as his birthday.

Carner garnered attention on the live circuit in 2015 with gigs at Glastonbury Festival and a support slot with Kate Tempest.

He went on to release debut album "Yesterdays Gone" in early 2017 to acclaim, with critics noting his confessional approach in his lyrics.

He recently completed a UK tour which included two sold out shows at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London.

The 20-year-old from South London also has a busy summer with appearances at Kendal Calling, BoomTown and Boardmasters to name a few.

In 2016 Dice FM named him the best live act of the year and he found himself on 'artists to watch' lists by the likes of Complex and BBC.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday March 3, you can get them from Ticketmaster .

Meanwhile a number of priority tickets are now available for O2 customers here .
