Good news for fans of hard rock, as Iron Maiden have announced they are bringing The Book of Souls World Tour to London in 2017.

The rock legends will be performing at The O2 Arena in London on Saturday May 27, 2017, after having visited Germany, Belgium, Ireland and Scotland as part of their 16-date European tour.

Iron Maiden's bass player Steve Harris said: "As it's been so long since our last full UK arena tour, we really wanted to get to our fans in as many cities as possible. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and although we love playing festivals and stadiums, it is terrific to return to the intimacy and atmosphere of arenas.

"The songs from The Book Of Souls album and the new Maya-themed Eddies and stage sets have gone down really well and fan reaction has been amazing. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, which we will continue to do."

Tickets for the show are on sale from Friday September 30

Pre-sale tickets for the London show go on sale on Monday (September 26), while general ticket release is on Friday (September 30) at 9am.

In order to combat ticket touts, all standing tickets will be 'paperless', meaning no physical tickets will be posted after purchase. The original cardholder is required to present their debit or credit card and ID at the venue on the night of the gig
