Who would've thought that Muse-style riffs over Led Zeppelin-esque drums with echoing psychedelic voices of an early 90's indie-ness would work? I'll tell you who, Little Grim.
They have emptied those very elements and more into their musical cauldron and created a magic of their own. Very experimental at times, especially on the drum front which can appear to be venturing into the Bruford/King Crimson realm of progressiveness but not so far as to isolate the pop fan as they soon return to familiar territory.
You can either check them out here , or see them live this Friday April 8, where they'll be débuting at the Crown and Treaty pub on Oxford Road, Uxbridge .
A three piece known as According To You share the Treaty limelight this Friday with a lively arsenal of catchy songs you can really dance to. London through and through, According To You have a knack of perfectly setting everyday phrases to music which enhances their already hook laden repertoire nicely.
Need To Know (on their Soundcloud ) is a particularly fine example of how they work so well.
It's free entry into the Crown and Treaty before 10pm and just £5 after. Rocheii who I mentioned last week are also on the bill.
