Gorillaz have announced an O2 Arena show as part of their UK tour.

The group will perform in London on December 4 as part of the "Humanz Tour".

It will be the Damon Albarn group's first headline shows here in seven years following a hiatus.

The 2-D band recently returned with their fifth studio album "Humanz" in April.

It featured collaborations with the likes of Grace Jones, Vince Staples and Pusha T.

Gorillaz were formed by Blur frontman Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett in the late 90s and they went on to release their debut in 2001.

They have since gone on to sell millions of records and release critically acclaimed music becoming the Guinness Book of Records 'Most Successful Virtual Band'.

The tour announcement follows the previous announcement of their headline set at Dreamland in Kent and a handful of US shows.

They will also perform in Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester as part of the UK tour.
