Garbage have announced details of a headline London show for 2018.

They will perform at O2 Brixton Academy on Friday September 14.

It will be the group's first headline show in the UK for more than two years, after they last played in June 2016 as part of the Strange Little Birds tour.

However this upcoming show will be a special one-off in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Version 2.0.

The group's second studio album reached the number one in the UK albums chart and has since sold almost two million copies worldwide.

The record has found a legacy after being nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys as well as eight MTV VMA nominations for the innovative "Push It".

Fans can expect to hear plenty of tracks from the record including "Special", "When I Grow Up" and "I Think I'm Paranoid".

When do tickets go on sale?

They go on general sale at 9am on Friday September 8.

A presale takes place at 9am on Wednesday September 6 for O2 priority members.
