Jazz fans are getting ready to enjoy five days of music today as the last of the Ealing Summer Festivals to be held in Walpole Park gets under way.

Bands from the borough, from across the country, as well as international groups will be playing a whole range of different styles during the 30th Ealing Jazz Festival .

The Chris Hodgkins band are kicking off the show tonight. They were the first band to play in the festival’s first year, 29 years ago.

Gates open at 6pm with performances running from 7pm until 10.30pm.

There will also be a range of fringe events from tonight until Friday from 10.30pm onwards.

Entrance to the two stages in Walpole park cost £4 tonight and tomorrow and £5 Friday to Saturday for anyone aged £12 and over. Tickets are available at the gates.

The fringe events are free.
