The Charlatans have announced details of huge UK tour.

The Tim Burgess fronted group will performing a headline set at Brixton Academy on Saturday December 9.

It will be in support of their upcoming 13th studio album 'Different Days' which is due for release on May 26.

The album will feature guests including Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and Stephen Morris.

The group found initial success in 1990 with their debut record 'Some Friendly', which charted at number one.

Since then they achieved three more number one albums as well as 17 singles which entered the UK top 30.

However their lasting success has come down to a passionate following and their live shows over the past 27 years.

They will also visit Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Cardiff as part of the nine-date UK tour.

Plus they are performing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground with The Courteeners as well as festivals including Victorious.

When do tickets go on sale?

They go on general sale at 10am on Friday May 19.

A presale will take place on Wednesday May 17 for O2 priority customers.
