Pop legend Celine Dion has announced that she will embark on a UK arena tour in 2017 marking her first shows here in nine years.

The singer will play for two nights at the O2 Arena in London on June 20-21.

She previously played in the UK on her Taking Chances tour 2008, which also saw her perform across Europe, Africa and Asia.

The French Canadian singer then returned to her Las Vegas residency in 2011 which will continue its run until at least 2017.

Following rave reviews and earnings of $476,000 per show, Dion has become one of the most profitable acts in Vegas of all time.

Fans of the singer can expect to hear some of her greatest hits including "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", 2All By Myself" and the iconic "My Heart Will Go On".

Her 30 year career has seen five Grammy award wins, two Academy Awards and 250 million albums sold worldwide.

Celine commented on her return to the UK: "I am so looking forward to returning to the UK this summer.

"These wonderful cities hold such special memories for me and I’m really excited to be coming back and seeing all my fans again."

She will kick off the European tour in Denmark before stopping off in London then Manchester and returning to finish the run in Birmingham.

They'll be available from 9am on Friday February 3.
