Workshops will be on offer in Ealing as part of the 'UK's biggest free community music festival'.

Arts organisation Superact is inviting Londoners to get involved in this year's Our Big Gig EXTRA project from April onwards, aiming to bring local people together through music and culminating in two free outdoor music festivals in Ealing and Tower Hamlets.

These events will be family-friendly arts festivals which showcase local talent, offer music workshops and performances, with food and market stalls.

The workshops in Ealing will be held in Acton and will be open to all members of the public of any age or musical ability.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform at the EXTRA music festival on Saturday June 13 in Walpole Park, Ealing.

Head of CSR, Janie Orr, from Universal Music Group International, said: "Our Big Gig is a fantastic platform for aspiring and talented musicians to showcase their music within local communities.

"With music making opportunities for all and a wide variety of musical genres being performed, Our Big Gig will support the musicians of tomorrow and entertain all who attend."

Superact would like to invite local people to get involved, as a performer, workshop leader, audience member, workshop participant, stall-holder, or volunteer.
