Hundreds of families were thrilled to ride on the special steam train to visit Santa in his grotto in Feltham .

The Santa Specials journey operated on four nights carrying more than 650 adults and children on the Hanworth Loop at the Hampton and Kempton Waterworks Railway.

During the ride they saw the reindeer and Father Christmas on his sleigh travelling on another line.

Passengers made a pit stop at Santa's Grotto where they met the white-bearded man and his elves, children were given presents and everyone got into the festive spirit with a sing-song.
