Especially for the summer, Jumeirah Carlton Tower has transformed its ninth floor Club Room lounge into a pop-up sundowner bar.
The venue may be a plush five star hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge , but it doesn't mean the average Joe can't enjoy a touch of luxury.
The Club Room sits just off the hotel's spa facilities giving the bar a more laid back, easy-going vibe - perfect for those late lazy afternoons when all you want to do is sink into a comfy chair and stare out of the window.
My partner and I took the swanky elevator up to the top of the building to test out everything the pop-up attraction had to offer.
We took a table for two next to an impressively huge window overlooking Knightsbridge, Chelsea and beyond before perusing the cocktail menu.
At £15 a cocktail (standard for a London hotel) there was gin martini, espresso martini, whisky sour, cosmopolitan, le fizz, sloely but surely and a classic bellini to choose from.
Set within a leisurely, causal atmosphere, our exciting drinks slowly arrived to allow us to take in the stunning views.
My partner was pleased with his le fizz comprising of Grey Goose vodka, St Germain elderflower liqueur, lime juice and soda. He said it was refreshing, slightly bitter and had a touch of sweetness.
I too devoured my sloely but surely, surprised it was the same colour as my boyfriend's but tasted completely different for it was mixed with Sipsmith Sloe gin, vanilla, lime and Champagne.
A splendid spread of savouries later arrived at our table, consisting of cold cured hams, cheese, crusty bread, falafal and avocado canapes.
It was a colourful, appetizing and Mediterranean treat and we couldn't help but polish the lot off as the sun sunk further over the capital's skyscrapers.
My favourite had to be the falafal. Each crispy bite had a warm and comforting inside and the creamy, ultra smooth beetroot puree, not only looked the part, but it was a superb match with the crunchy chickpeas.
With a cocktail in one hand and cheese and bread in another, it felt like we were someone in sunny Europe rather than in the heart of the buzzy city centre.
