Vegan food festival coming to Wembley for one day only

From hot dogs to mac and cheese, there is a whole host of vegan treats for foodies to enjoy

A vegan food festival is coming to Wembley next month.

More than 5,000 foodies are expected to flock to the "Viva! Vegan Festival" at Brent Civic Centre on Saturday September 16.

The centre will host more than 160 stalls of delicious food, with everything from sticky mocha brownies to tofu and quinoa.

London’s first entirely vegan bakery, Ms Cupcake will be at the festival showcasing decadent cakes, muffins, cookies and savoury goods.

Other attractions include parkour runner Tim Shieff’s ethical clothing brand Ethcs, a beer garden and live music.

The festival also boasts an impressive line-up of talks from a range of speakers including the world record breaking British marathon runner Fiona Oaks and Viva!’s founder and director, Juliet Gellatley.

Juliet said: “The festival is a fantastic way of bringing people together and showcasing the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.

"Regardless of dietary choices we want everyone to come along and see just how wonderful vegan food can be.

"This event will be a fun, interesting and delicious day out for all the family to enjoy."

Throughout the day there will be a variety of cookery demonstrations from top vegan chefs including Richard Buckley from Bath’s Acorn Kitchen and Maryanne Hall from Viva!.
