An Australian doughnut company is celebrating the launch of its flagship store by handing out dozens of free doughnuts.
Doughnut Time will open it Shaftesbury Avenue branch on Friday October 27.
In honour of its new home, the doughnut dream team have crafted two bespoke British bites.
The first is inspired by Love Actually and has a fragrant Earl Grey tea glaze with tart freeze, dried raspberries and heart shaped jammy dodgers.
The second is Shawty It’s Sherbert Day, which is said to "tantalise taste buds with an indulgent dose of childhood nostalgia".
The new store will also offer up a range of Doughnut Time classics, from Slim Shady, a vanilla glaze with eye-popping M&M’s, to Legally Blonde, a caramel glaze with macadamia blondie pieces, with gluten-free and vegan options available on request.
There are also plans to open an academy above the branch, providing customers the chance to showcase their artistic flair as they create, decorate and customise their own doughnuts.
Doughnut Time plans to expand the franchise by opening branches in Old Street, Notting Hill and Shepherd’s Bush later in the year.
Damian Griffiths, founder of Doughnut Time, said: “We are so thrilled that Doughnut Time is hitting the UK.
"We believe that the unique and personal touches that we add to each and every one of our doughnuts is what makes Doughnut Time run circles around the rest.
"So we hope that our new and exclusive British creations that are tributes to the timeless classics, go down a treat with Londoners!”
Doughnut Time will open on Friday October 27 in Shaftesbury Avenue and will be giving away two hours of free doughnuts from 12.30pm-2.30pm.
