If you love a good steak or you're all about a pie and gravy, then this week is right up your street - it's National Butcher's Week.

The annual event is back, running from Monday March 14 to Sunday March 20.

How did it start?

National Butcher's Week has been going for eight years now, and was founded by Meat Trades Journal, who wanted to promote the skills of butchers throughout the UK.

The organisation started the week to encouraged butchers and people to set up various activities so that people get more involved with their butchers.
