Iceland is selling luxury burger patties, that are perfect for the BBQ season.

The supermarket has launched a gourmet range of lobster and burger patties, made with "British beef and succulent pieces of Norwegian lobster for a sweeter taste that really complements the meaty texture".

Iceland claims it is "the first UK supermarket to launch a surf and turf burger".

Neil Nugent, the store's Head Chef, said: “At Iceland, we like to offer our customers lots of trend leading products and our Luxury Surf and Turf burgers are no exception.

"Following the frenzy with our No Bull Burgers, we wanted to continue to create innovative foods that would excite and delight our customers.”

Luxury Venison Quarter Pounders (£2.50)

Iceland's luxury range doesn't stop there, the supermarket is also selling Venison Quarter Pounders (£2.50), which are made with "fruity and peppery juniper flavours to complement the intense game taste of the meat."

Customers can also buy Wagyu Beef Quarter Pounders (£3), and a selection of frozen fish platters including the Rope Grown Scottish Mussels Shallots & Garlic (£2).

Shoppers can buy the lobster and beef burger patties for £3 (for a pack of two). They will be available to buy in stores from July 16.
