A social media channel that posts mouth-watering video recipes is opening a delivery-only restaurant in London.

Jungle Creations’ internationally renowned foodie Facebook page, Twisted, will launch Twisted London in November.

Twisted, which has undergone a re-brand in time for the launch of the restaurant, was founded in March 2016 by Guildford entrepreneur Jamie Bolding and has so far amassed a cult following of nearly seven million food lovers on Facebook.

The brand also has more than a million followers on Instagram with its videos achieving more than 200 million global views per month.

It is known for its recipe videos that are filmed from a bird’s eye perspective and posted on its social channels, with many of its popular creations such as Camembert Hedgehog Bread and Sushi Burgers becoming viral Internet sensations.

The menu for Twisted London will be revealed in the next few weeks ahead of the launch.

But there will be both new and original Twisted dishes, including a vegan offering, that reflect its adventurous spirit.

Based in east London, the creative culinary minds will be cooking up cult favourites seven days a week from the Twisted London kitchen, ensuring hungry Londoners can get their fix of Twisted creations that will be delivered straight to their door.

Mr Bolding, also CEO of Jungle Creations, said: "Twisted has been an incredible success since its launch just over a year ago.

"There’s still a huge appetite for the online recipe videos so we won’t be slowing down there but we really want to expand the Twisted brand to real life experiences.

"Twisted London is a natural extension of our offering and provides our followers with the best user experience imaginable.

"Watch the video, click order, and the meal arrives piping hot to your door within 30 minutes. We are extremely excited about this project and have built out a standalone experienced team to run the operation."

Food-porn alert!

Since August, the Twisted Facebook page has gained more than one million new fans and in the last year alone Twisted has collaborated with brands including Oreo, Knorr, Cadbury and most recently Baileys , which has been one of the most successful sponsored campaigns the page has ever run.

Tom Jackson, head of food at Twisted, said: "The success of the Twisted social channel since its launch just 18 months ago has already led to the creation of Twisted: The Cookbook, with another in the pipeline, and it feels like Twisted London is the natural progression from there."

The recipes are a tad indulgent...

Head chef at Twisted London, Tom Ewer, added: "I am really excited to be a part of this momentous venture.

"We have spent months tasting and developing different dishes with the Twisted social team, and have planned everything right down to the last detail; from how the menu travels to the presentation and packaging.

"I am very proud of the menu we have developed and I can't wait for the people of London to taste our creations."

The first to get a taste of the Twisted London menu will be the attendees of London Food Tech Week, which is taking place in early November.

Once Twisted London has launched, the parent company, Jungle Creations, will turn its attentions to other major cities in the UK and across the globe, with sights set on Twisted Manchester and eventually Twisted New York and Twisted LA.
