It seems our getwestlondon readers are partial to a tipple, or three - as when it comes to the perfect pub location , you are the experts.

When we asked you to share your favourite pubs in west London, you provided enough public houses to keep us busy for at least the next few months.

West London is lucky enough to have the Thames winding its way through the centre and it was no surprise many of the pubs you chose were located on the banks of the river.

There were just too many to pick from, but a few shone through as particular favourites so we have brought together a round-up of the best pubs in the area, as chosen by you.

The Weir Bar, Brentford

Many of you commented with this one as a favourite and it's no surprise considering its heated riverside garden and array of cocktails and gastro food on offer.

Jean McSweeney commented: "The Weir Brentford , fabulous atmosphere, decor and food amazing.

"Live music and gorgeous garden. Plus 2 for 1 cocktail hour on their superb cocktails!"

The Hare & Hounds, Osterley

There were a number of votes for this Fuller's pub and restaurant in the borough of Hounslow .

Kitted out with candlelit fireplaces, the pub is surrounded by green fields and describes itself as "a beautiful old pub with a stylish interior and super outdoor space, it’s the perfect spot for fresh food or an alfresco drink".

They call themselves "west London’s country pub" located a short distance away from the busy centre of Hounslow.

The Mad Bishop & Bear, Paddington

Yet another Fuller's pub and restaurant shines through and this one has been described by our readers as the perfect pub for commuters looking to break up their journey back from central London.

The Dove, Hammersmith

With a secluded beer garden backing onto the banks of the River Thames, there is no surprise this was on the list.

The Grade II-listed pub dates back to the 17th century and apparently its where poet James Thomson composed the famous Rule Britannia.

The New Inn, Brentford

This pub dates back to the mid-1800s and is perfect for the sports fans.

The London Apprentice, Isleworth

Another one for those craving to enjoy a pint looking out onto the River Thames is The London Apprentice in Isleworth .

A few of you voted for this pub as a favorite all rounder.

Just a short walk from Syon Park, the Georgian pub is said to have been visited by King Henry VIII, Charles I and Charles II with his mistress Nell Gwynne.

The Grange, Ealing Common

The Grange

This Victorian pub overlooks Ealing Common and is open every day of the year. On its website, the pub says: "The Grange has been the local community’s living room since 1871, the place to relax and be social."

Gary Smith is a fan, saying: "Great atmosphere great food, walled garden and dog friendly."

The Express Tavern, Kew Bridge

This pub is an original coaching inn stop from London to Bath and still proves popular today for a pint, a glass of fine wine or a bite to eat.

Michael Dutton argues it is the best pub in London, saying: "Proper pub with great ales, ciders and craft lagers and a very tasty menu.

Whelans, Uxbridge

This recently refurbished traditional Irish pub comes out on top in Uxbridge providing food, drink and live music four nights a week.

Commenting on the pub, which was previously known as the Crown and Sceptre, Aileen Doherty said: "Great music every weekend, friendly bar staff and a good friendly atmosphere."
