MUCH-LOVED star Anita Harris stars in Stepping Out, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2010 with a UK tour which comes to Richmond Theatre for one week only.

Actress and singer Anita is appearing with Brian Capron, known to millions for his award-winning portrayal of the sinister Richard Hillman in Coronation Street.

Anita plays snooty Vera in a weekly tap class and Brian plays the bumbling but lovable Geoffrey, whose mid-life crisis might just bring with it some mid-life reward.

SPEAKERS Corner Quartet are an innovative London-based combo whose status was boosted by gigs at the cult hip-hop night 'Speakers

Corner' in Brixton. They have opened for Herbie Hancock at the Royal Festival Hall and played Sunrise at the Big Chill Festival 2008. Their debut EP mixes their unique sound of jazz and hip-hop with classical and eastern music.

Appearing with them is singer-songwriter Monika Lidke, (left) who blends jazz and folk with Polish and French accents and Latin sounds.

Remembering a remarkable couple

A SPECIAL concert is being held in memory of an Ealing couple who met when he fled to London at the beginning of the war.

The concert, which is also in aid of the Musicians' Benevolent Fund, is being held by the Eberle Quartet, in honour of Elaine and Stefan Revesz who lived in Elers Road, Ealing.

Stefan was a Jewish Hungarian refugee, while Elaine was a passionate music lover with lots of musician friends, two of whom have put together this concert.

The quartet will be playing music by Haydn, Schubert and Elgar.

Tangle of emotions in Ancient Greece

A CONFLICT of justice, morality and duty fuels this powerful performance of Sophocles' tragedy, Antigone.

Performed by Theatre Lab Company, a London-based international company with a clutch of awards to its name, the play focuses on the family drama where two brothers kill each other, one a loyal subject, the other a traitor.

Creon, the new king, Antigone, his niece, both wilful and passionate, are determined to be faithful to their individual causes; duty to the state for one, duty to love and morality for the other.

The TLC has been invited and participated in international theatre festivals at Edinburgh, London, Greece, Barcelona, Belgrade, Dublin, Prague and New York.

Other credits include being nominated as top performance of the 2007 Prague Fringe by the main reviewer, the Prague Post, and the nomination of artistic director, Anastasia Revi for the prestigious Karolos Koun National Theatre Award for her recent work at the National Theatre of Greece.
