ONE: A medley of fine music - and all in the very best of causes

DONATIONS will be most welcome at a free concert in aid of the charity Action for Children.

Described as a 'musical medley' there will be something for all, with a varied programme including some classical, some jazz, some Gilbert and Sullivan and an arrangement of folk music from around the world. The musicians include a wind quintet, a solo soprano plus bass voices and piano.

TWO: Cancer research concert

A POPULAR music event is being held again this year to raise funds for Cancer Research UK in memory of a woman who died of the disease.

Live Wire 4 will this year be held at St Mary's Church Hall, in High Street, Harefield, on Saturday.

The event is now in its fourth year and is being held in memory of Pam Webber, who lived in Clyfford Road, Ruislip Gardens.

The event will feature local music talent Pete And Two Veg and headlining will be Any Buddy Out There.

THREE: At the carwash

THERE will be bubbles on the forecourt as hard working volunteers offer to leave your car spick and span, all for a good cause.

Roy Hill and his band of scouts and junior church members will be hard at work to raise money in aid of the CLICK Rukiga charity in Uganda.

Bring along your car and be part of the fun, even better, bring a sponge and a helping hand.

Refreshments will be available while you wait for your car to be cleaned.

FOUR: I went to a garden party

YOU can win super prizes and enjoy a grand day out at a glorious setting at the Abbeyfield Ickenham annual garden party.

As well as visiting the house and strolling around the gardens, visitors can enjoy a cream tea, search for bargains on the bring and buy stall, or even win on the raffle.

Abbeyfield Ickenham is a large family house, which has been thoughtfully converted to provide sheltered accommodation for older people.

FIVE: Let 20 years' experience of playing jazz and swing carry you away to a bygone era
