The Thompson siblings of hit reality show Made in Chelsea have one of the most sought-after TV homes in the UK.

Louise and Sam Thompson’s two-bedroom flat in Chelsea was voted the third most popular home in a list of ten of the most famous homes which have appeared on British TV screens over the past 12 months.

Their £1.7m modern apartment in a leafy garden square is the most pricey flat on the list and is also the only home which the TV characters actually live in.

Louise, 24, and 22-year-old Sam’s flat has increased in value by £300,000 since they bought it in 2011.

The poll, by new property website OnTheMarket.com, found one in ten Brits want their homes to resemble a property on TV.

Fifth on the list was Sherlock Holmes’ Baker Street flat, from the BBC show Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch, which had the highest viewing figures on the list (10 million).

Possibly one of the most famous fictional homes in literature, the two-bedroom Georgian townhouse flat is now worth £1.1m compared to £925,000 when the show started in 2010.

Helen Whiteley, commercial director at OnTheMarket.com, said: “Whether it’s a cottage on the hill, a house on the close or a home on the coast or a home on the square, we recognise that TV provides inspiration for homebuyers and tenants across the country.”

Other most desirable TV homes included the number one most coveted home, £15m mansion Downton Abbey - also known as 51-bedroom Highclere Castle, in Berkshire - despite having the smallest viewing figures out of all the shows on the list at 808,000.
