Strictly Come Dancing's Pasha Kovalev has been joined by young dancers from Hillingdon on his Life Through Dance tour.

The celebrity, who won the BBC show last year partnering Caroline Flack, took to the stage at Beck Theatre, Hayes, with 35 performers from Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre, aged nine to 21, on May 9.

Students from the centre also appeared on the West End, at Her Majesty's Theatre, which is home to The Phantom of the Opera, in a one-off show The Stars in Our Eyes on Tuesday (June 7).

Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre holds classes for children as young as 18 months at The Studio, in Yiewsley High Street, and The Barn, in Kingston Lane, Uxbridge. It provides training in classical ballet, modern theatre, tap, jazz, contemporary, singing and performance skills.

Principal Helen White said: "I'm immensely proud of what our dancers have achieved and feel it is of utmost importance they are given opportunities to perform at such exciting venues, and with current celebrities such as Pasha."
