Creative youths in Hounslow can try their hand at a plethora of pursuits this summer, from manga to capoeira, with the return of Urban Ambush.

Young people aged eight to 18 can spend a week working with top artists on a project of their choice before showcasing the fruits of their labour to friends and family.

The popular programme run by Watermans arts centre, in Brentford , is back for a fourth year, with many new artistic activities added to the line-up.

Participants can draw a Japanese manga comic, study the Brazilian dance and martial arts fusion capoeira, design a digital game or get coaching in music, theatre and animation.

Among the exciting additions this year is the chance to work with members of the Hip Hop Shakespeare Company, formed by MOBO and BAFTA award-winning rapper Akala to add a modern twist to the bard's oeuvre.

The week-long courses all take place at Watermans, in High Street, Brentford, from July 25 to August 19. The workshops run from 9am-6.15pm each day, and the price per week ranges from £140-160.
