Runners from across west London are being encouraged to take part in the British Airways fun run next week.

The event, which takes place on Thursday (July 23), will see hundreds of runners descend on the airline's office in Harmondsworth.

The annual charity run, now in its 18th year, will raise money for Cancer Research UK.

X Factor's Jack Walton will be there on the day and dance group Twist & Pulse, from Britain's Got Talent, will be entertaining the crowds.

There will also be fairground rides, a bouncy castle and face painting on the day.

Andy Club, James Glover and Geoff Westgarth take on the fun run

Last year, more than 300 adults took on the 5km course and raised over £11,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Mary Barry, British Airways’ manager of community investment, said: "The British Airways Fun Run has supported Cancer Research for many years now and the race continues to grow each year.

"We hope even more people will get involved next week to support this worthy cause."

Online registration is now open for the 5km run, which starts at 5.30pm, here.

The under-10s Little Legs 1km run begins at 4.30pm.
