Roll up, roll up for the opportunity to learn incredible circus skills at Watermans in Brentford .

The riverside arts centre is hosting a week of Big Top-related fun during the February half-term, including the chance to pick up new party tricks like juggling or balancing feats.

At the heart of its Circus Week are family workshops, running from February 18-21, for children aged four and above and their parents.

If you'd prefer to leave the stunts to the professionals, you can sit back and enjoy The Party, by Nearly There Yet.

The family show, running from February 18-31 and featuring an array of circus tricks, sees a birthday bash crashed by a host of uninvited guests including a man dressed as a giant chicken.

Paul Incredible will be wandering round the arts centre between February 18 and 21 performing circus feats worthy of his surname, plus the odd bit of magic.

Youngsters will also be invited to help build a giant elephant and clown sculpture at a craft workshop during the week, as well as making clown and animal masks to take home.

Circus Week is one of the highlights of the new spring programme of children's theatre at Watermans, ranging from traditional tales to more fanciful fare.

A series of Sunday plays gets underway on January 17 with Circles in The Sand, by Tam Tam Theatre, in which children aged up to three will be invited to leap into a world of buckets, castle building, spinning and tumbling.

The fun continues the following Sunday, with The Billy Goats Gruff, by Garlic Theatre, a show for 3-6 year-olds in which the fairy tale gets an ecological twist with a flying troll and loads of rubbish.

There's plenty more children's theatre lined up at Watermans all the way to March 20, plus weekly workshops, acting courses and cut-price cinema for the whole family.
