A laser show will light up the skies above Norwood Green next Sunday (November 2) in the spectacular finale to a free Diwali Mela.

Children's rides, music, dance displays and much more will entertain crowds from midday to 6pm in Norwood Green Park, Norwood Green Road.

Visitors will also be able to browse stalls selling food and fashion items as they belatedly celebrate the Indian festival of lights.

But the highlight of the fair, organised by Asian Events Media (AEM), will be the laser light show, due to illuminate the darkness at 5pm.

More than 1,000 people are estimated to have attended a mela run by AEM at the park in May.
