The second year of the Lantern Festival is set to illuminate Chiswick House Gardens this week as the colourful display opens to the public.
An artistic installation of beautifully sculpted life-size and giant lanterns will brighten the landscape , from a dazzling set of wildlife to mythical creatures.
Set outdoors in the gardens, the illuminated display will celebrate heritage, arts and culture.

When is the festival taking place?
You can visit the annual event from Thursday January 19 to Sunday February 26
Where can we buy tickets and how much are they?
Tickets can be bought at the Magic Lantern Festival website and are non-refundable.
For weekdays, adult prices are £16.50 in advance or £18.50 on the day, and for weekends, £18 in advance and £20 on the day.
Children's tickets are £10.50 for weekday advance, £12.50 on the day or £12 in advance and £14 on the weekends.
Children under three can go for free.
Is there parking nearby?
The festival venue is Chiswick House Gardens, London, W4 2QN and parking is reserved for disabled badge holders and drop off, pick up only.
Nearest tube stations are Turnham Green and Gunnersbury and the nearest overground station is Chiswick.
The venue is approximately a 10 to 15 minute walk from these stations.
What other attractions are there during the festival?
As well as the Lantern Trail, there will be an ice bar and plenty of stalls and rides to keep people entertained alongside the visual display.
Will there be food and drink at Chiswick House?
A huge mix of international cuisine and traditional street food will be on offer at this year’s festival, from Spanish churros to Mexican delights.
There will also be a range of Chinese food vendors offering everything from noodles to sticky rice and dumplings.
The popular Chiswick House Café will also be open during the festival hours an serving hot and cold food and drink.
