Around 10,000 revellers are expected to attend a free one-day festival in Isleworth next month, ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Big-name musical acts, along with local performers, are promised at the Be Inspired Festival in Redlees Park on Sunday September 13.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy dance and fashion displays and get the chance to try a variety of sports at the park in London Road.

But perhaps the biggest draw will be the chance to get up close and personal with the Webb Ellis Cup, which England will attempt to secure when the Rugby World Cup kicks off up the road at Twickenham Stadium five days later.

Crowds will be able to pose for photos with the sport's biggest prize at the family fun day as part of the trophy's 100-day tour of the UK and Ireland.

Hounslow Council, which is organising the festival, expects to announce the headline act on Friday (August 14).

Council leader Steve Curran said: "The Be Inspired Festival will be a great day out for all the family. It will give residents a taste of the excitement of Rugby World Cup 2015 and an opportunity to see and try new activities and enjoy top-class entertainment."
