There are plenty of ways to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday June 18.

1. Take Dad to a beer garden

What better way to celebrate Father's Day then to treat your Dad to an ice cold beer.

2. Enjoy a trip to Little Venice

Little Venice is a gorgeous canal area just north of Paddington , with moored boats and riverside cafés.

Ruislip Lido is a 60-acre lake and artificial beach that's perfect for relaxing on sunny days. It's only a short distance away from most areas of west London, and is the perfect place to take Dad this Father's Day.

London Food Month has launched its Night Market in Kensington .

50 of London’s street food stars, restaurants and top chefs have set up at Perks Field near Kensington Gardens, creating an island of foodie delights.

It is the centrepiece of London Food Month and features everything from gooey brownies to truffle burgers.

5. Hire a "Boris bike"

Why not hire one of London's legendary "Boris bikes" this Father's Day and cycle around your local area, taking in the sights with your dad?

The bikes cost £2 for 24-hour bike access, and the first 30 minutes of each journey is free. Longer journeys cost £2 for each extra 30 minutes (for under a tenner you can have the bike for two and a half hours).

6. Have a picnic

London’s Open Garden Square Weekend celebrates the city’s little-known green spaces when around 200 “private” gardens will be opened to the public.

Palaces, prestigious squares, roofs and community gardens all take part on Saturday June 17.

In Hammersmith , the residents of Hammersmith United Charities’ two sheltered housing schemes will be showing off their gardens as part of the weekend.

John Betts House and Sycamore House just off Goldhawk Road, keep the delights of their award-winning gardens almost as quiet as the neighbourhoods they are part of.

9. Take him out for steak

Astronomy group, Northolt Branch Astro, will be in Walpole Park on June 18 for International SUNday with a variety of telescopes to safely observe our closest star, the Sun.
