A Harrow pub is showcasing local artists' portraits of iconic scenes in the borough.

The exhibition was launched by teacher Angela Pearcey at The Case is Altered, in Old Redding, on Wednesday January 21.

The artist teaches fine art courses at Harrow Arts Centre, in Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, and six of her students will be exhibiting portraits for sale.

Mrs Pearcey said: "Some of my students have been here for 13 years and some have just started.

"The inspiration behind it was that the artists producing a lot of good work and there wasn't anywhere for them to do an exhibition on the terms that they wanted to."

"They like working together and all the works are different.

The pictures have been produced after the artists looked at one master painting before developing a painting in their own style.

Some of the work on display features scenes from Harrow inspired by Van Gogh's work.

Paintings by artists up to the age of 80 are being showcased and the paintings will be rotated.
