Pubs in west London are preparing to transform their beer gardens to give punters a taste of theatreland this summer.

A dozen Fuller's Inns pubs including some in Harrow, Ealing and Twickenham will host Shakespeare in the Garden, while raising money for children's charity Shooting Star Chase.

The cast from Permanently Bard will take to the outdoor spaces to perform the playwright's legendary story of two young star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet.

There will be fresh food, gourmet bar snacks and pub grub - and of course booze.

Nick Corden, retail marketing manager at Fuller’s, said: “The pub and the theatre have long been happy bedfellows.

"The tradition of pub theatre is an example of how two good things can come together to make something great.

"We are extremely proud of Fuller’s partnership with Permanently Bard and we are excited about this year’s production. It is not to be missed.”
